Arantza Acha holds a degree on Biology by the University of the Basque Country and a MsC. on Conservation and Rural Development by the University of Kent. She has worked for 7 years at the Environmental Science Unit of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Sciences in Asia and the Pacific in Jakarta. There she was responsible for community-based sustainable development programs in Indonesia, Timor Leste, Philippines and Vietnam.
Since 2014 she is director of UNESCO Etxea-UNESCO Centre in the Basque Country.Centre in the Basque Country.
